Evening Offshores at Little Wind and Sea; Feb 22, 2012

The wind turned offshore this evening in Santa Cruz; Feb 22, 2012. The surf cleaned up nicely for these luck few guys at Little Wind and Sea as the seagulls hung out on the rocks. Check out the sand piper taking a bath after the credits.

Pumping surf at the Hook in Santa Cruz with shit surfers say while checking the surf in the background. Danny Hart catches a bomb at the beginning and various others score some good waves. Spring Surf Pattern Continues NW Swells with WNW Winds

The calendar does has not rolled to spring yet, but the swells and wind are definitely in spring mode. A new WNW swell will build this weekend in the 4-8ft range by Sunday and little larger on Monday.  There is also some small SW energy during this forecast period; another sign of spring. Next WNW swell pulse builds to 4-7ft late Wednesday (leap day) and Thursday March 1st. Pleasure Point with WNW swell

New WNW Swells Wednesday and Sunday

Current Presidents Day swell fading with lite winds in the forecast. New WNW builds tomorrow with 4-7ft at exposed areas; up to head high Santa Cruz. Then larger for the last half of the weekend.
