Surfing Glassy Pleasure Point 2012 Jan 13 Will’s Video Blog

In January of 2012, Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz had epic amounts of sand on the reed and on the beach. This winter was very mild with no storms and lack of wind. This just one of many super fun days with small tapering lines working across the sandbar. In this video shot with my GoPro, I get a lot of off the lips, head dips, 360s, and long rides to the beach. After the longer rides I would run back up the high tide beach and do it all over again and again!

New WNW for Weekend

Swell trend is increasing for the Fri and Sat with 8-15 foot surf forecast for Friday with unsettled weather and S winds most of the week. Wind is forecast to turn W and WNW on Friday so should clean up some in Santa Cruz and be choppy at exposed beaches. Swell will trend smaller into next week and then up again to 4-8ft next Tues with WNW winds.

Eastside Santa Cruz Big Sunday April Fools Day 2012

Big Sunday (April Fools Day 2012) was huge with offshore wind earlier in the day. There was a lot of current but a few lucky surfers managed to pick off some fun waves. The video shows Pleasure Point, 38th ave, The Hook, Trees, and Hoopers.

Surfing Pleasure Point with my GoPro – Will’s Video Blog 2011 Oct 10

3rd post to my surfing video blog. Will Church surfing 1st Peak Pleasure Point on Oct 10, 2011. The camera was mounted at a lower angle so you can see the board more, but the view cuts off Kyle Buthman and Eric Case when I tried to do some follow footage. I get some head dips, cut-backs, and some of my patented 360s.
