S and SW Swells in the Surf Forecast

Small knee to waist high surf in Santa Cruz will continue from a couple of S ground swells through the week. SF will be a bit bigger with mixed up NW wind swell mixing in. Next weekend improves when waist to head high surf is expected in Santa Cruz and over-head waves at more exposed beaches like San Francisco.

Stormy Spring Surf in the Surf Forecast

The mixed up spring conditions will continue for a couple of more days with waist to over-head storm surf in Santa Cruz and over-head storminess at more exposed beaches. Best bets will be to get some early! The trend goes smaller into the week with knee high surf in Santa Cruz and waist high waves at San Francisco beaches Wednesday through Friday. Surf picks up a bit next weekend, but looks to be small and wind swell again.

S Ground Swells and WNW Wind Swell Forecast for Next Week

Santa Cruz will have small 1-2 foot surf and San Francisco will have 2-4 foot with lite onshore flow Sunday. Possible to see some new 1-3 foot SSW swell filling in late Sunday with just slight improvement in size with occasional long period chest high sets through Monday. The trend goes larger as new S ground swells and WNW wind swells fill in Tuesday, peaking Wednesday with head high surf in Santa Cruz and over-head waves at exposed beaches. These swells will hang around providing 2-5 foot surf through next weekend.

Small S Swells and NW Wind Swell in the Surf Forecast

The surf will continue to be on the small scale with knee to waist high surf in Santa Cruz through the week. SF and more exposed beaches will see more of  the NW wind swell when the wind swell peaks Tuesday-Thursday with  waist to over-head surf. Weather is forecast continues to be fair.
