I have surfed crowded Rincon before and knew what to expect. Got a few good ones and some I got the feeling “there are no friends on a Rincon Day”. Kind of like there are “no friends on a powder day”. This video are the shared waves that day.

2 Small SSW Swells with more NW wind swell by Tuesday

Two small SSW Swells combining with some WNW wind swell will provide knee to waist high surf in Santa Cruz; SF and exposed beaches will see more wind swell with 2-5 foot surf through Monday. New NW wind swell energy on Tuesday combining with the existing SSW swells will bump the size to 4-7 foot; making some spots fun and some confused.

Smaller W and S Swells in the Surf Forecast

Sunday March 10th, a 4-8 foot W swell will fill in today to provide knee to shoulder high surf in Santa Cruz and chest to over-head surf at exposed beaches like San Francisco and the beach breaks in the Monterey Bay. The swell trend goes smaller into the week, but there will still be small scale W and S swells providing knee to waist high surf in Santa Cruz and up to shoulder high surf at exposed beaches. Next bump in size comes Friday with a new WNW swell in the 3-6 foot range. Weather forecast to be warming into the week with fog returning by the end of the week.

New W Swell Mid-Week in the Surf Forecast

This weekends swell will wane through Monday, but still provide fun surf in the waist to head high range for Santa Cruz and 4-7 foot surf at exposed beaches like OB San Francisco. Tuesday will see a new W swell arrive that will peak on Wednesday with 3-8ft surf in SC and hed to double over-head surf at exposed regions. Another solid W swell kicks in next Sunday with 4-8 foot surf along the Central California Coast.

More Long Period WNW Swells in the Surf Forecast

A series of long period WNW swells will keep the surf fun all the way through the forecast period. Santa Cruz will enjoy 4-6ft surf with occasional over-head sets through the weekend and more the same through next week. San Francisco will have have 6-10 foot surf but may suffer from fairly consistant WNW flow of winds.
