New W Swell Next Week

The current series of WNW swells will provide fun waves through the weekend. Santa Cruz will enjoy waist to head high sets through Monday morning; little larger Sunday. Really small in Capitola and Cowells, but Cap could be OK for a 1st timer. San Francisco will be 3-8ft with clean conditions in the mornings. A new 8-12ft W swell arrives late Monday and full on Tuesday;  unfortunately rain and SSW winds are also forecast for Monday and Tuesday. Weather improves and swell holds in the head high range for Santa Cruz and 6-10ft for exposed beaches into mid-week.

WNW Swells Continue

The current WNW swell in the water will peak on Friday with 4-8 foot surf in Santa Cruz and head to double over-head surf at more exposed beaches like OB San Francisco. Trend goes a little smaller over the weekend, but will still be fun at most the popular spots. Am high tides could be fun at  the local beach breaks and up the coast from Santa Cruz. Next WNW swell arrives on Monday providing head high surf in Santa Cruz and over-head surf at exposed beaches. The trend then goes a bit smaller into mid-week.
