Circa 1998, Steve Price and Will Church hike up to wind lip in the Alpine Meadows back-country to catch some small airs and make some fresh tracks. Next day we went for some shuttle runs off Old Hyw 40 with Noah and Megan for some more fresh tracks with Noah and Megan.
Jackson boning out this mute grab at Alpine Meadows
Dec 1999. Alpine has some really good early season terrain.
This shot is great. Everyone was inching off the sides and doing S turns.
Then this guy came along and launched the middle; nailed the landing between the rock and the tree and did one big bottom turn across the bowl!
That cornice also broke off under one of the next guys to go slow off the drop.
Please be cautious around cornice. Word of advice; don’t stand on or under these frozen wind sculpted waves because they will eventually fall. This can kick off big slides or dangerous rolling snow chunks.
Be safe and live to ride another day!
