W and S Swells in the Forecast

Current NW swell will drop quickly down to 2-4 foot by Friday. New W and S swells will fill in by Saturday and max out on Monday with 4-8 foot surf in Santa Cruz and 10-15 surf at more exposed spots. Weather forecast calls for more WNW winds in the afternoons so get your surf on early if you like if smooth.

New WNW March 1st and More WNW Tuesday

Strong 4-9ft New WNW swell in the water today with lite rain and glassy conditions in Santa Cruz. Blown out with SW winds at more exposed beaches like SF Ocean Beach.This swell will fall off pretty quickly but still provide some fun waves at top spots through the weekend. Next WNW pulse will be on Monday, then more Tuesday and Wednesday. The new swells forecast to provide waves in the head high to almost 10ft range at more exposed beaches by Wednesday.

Spring Surf Pattern Continues NW Swells with WNW Winds

The calendar does has not rolled to spring yet, but the swells and wind are definitely in spring mode. A new WNW swell will build this weekend in the 4-8ft range by Sunday and little larger on Monday.  There is also some small SW energy during this forecast period; another sign of spring. Next WNW swell pulse builds to 4-7ft late Wednesday (leap day) and Thursday March 1st. Pleasure Point with WNW swell

Current Presidents Day swell fading with lite winds in the forecast. New WNW builds tomorrow with 4-7ft at exposed areas; up to head high Santa Cruz. Then larger for the last half of the weekend.
