More mix of WNW and S swells in the forecast with rain as well.  A new WNW will grow on Wednesday and a fun size S swell by Friday mixed in with yet another WNW swell that maxes out on Saturday up to 8-12 foot surf. Weather has more rain in store for us but winds may be lite enough to allow for some fun surfs.

Mixed swells at Pleasure Point with spring like conditions

More mix of spring like WNW and SSW swells in the surf forecast. Up to a couple of feet over-head in Santa Cruz and double over-head in more exposed areas by Saturday. Size wanes until Monday and then waxes up to 6-8 foot  through next Thursday.

New WNW swell increasing Friday the 16th through Saturday with up to 8-16 foot surf. 3-6ft S swell through the weekend as well. Rainy weather and associated S winds will affect surface conditions, but the wind is lite this am in Santa Cruz. Water quality may also be an issue. SUP/Paddle contest at the Lane March 16-18. WNW and S swells will wan through Tuesday. Next WNW swells start to increase on Wednesday then up to 6-12 feet by next Friday.

Current NW swell will drop quickly down to 2-4 foot by Friday. New W and S swells will fill in by Saturday and max out on Monday with 4-8 foot surf in Santa Cruz and 10-15 surf at more exposed spots. Weather forecast calls for more WNW winds in the afternoons so get your surf on early if you like if smooth.
