Cocoa Beach Fl is know for being the home town to 11 time surfing world champion Kelly Slater and for being near Cape Canaveral. The cape blocks hard North swells so the pier has better days on East and Southerly swells. I have surfed the North side of the pier; it was fun and provided some nice peaks that were bigger and more open face than other parts of the region. Cocoa Beach has a good vibe with the pier, the Cape, and relaxed beach lifestyle.
